My works are executed primarily on stretched cotton rag paper and canvas, using charcoal and
mixed media to build a realist surface.
My practice is value-driven, built on tonal structure, light, and darkness.
Each painting begins with charcoal-based drawing. From this foundation, I expand the work through
mixed media, using restrained color only to shape atmosphere, light, and subtle shifts of temperature
within the darkness.
The near-monochrome range is a deliberate choice—not a limitation of color, but a way of
deepening presence, silence, and atmosphere.
작품은 주로 나무틀에 씌운 cotton rag 종이(stretched cotton rag paper)와 캔버스 위에 목탄과 혼합매체
를 사용해 리얼리즘의 표면을 구축합니다.
저의 작업은 명도 구조와 빛, 그리고 어둠을 중심으로 전개됩니다.
각 작품은 목탄 기반의 드로잉에서 시작합니다. 그 위에 혼합매체를 더하며, 색은 장식적으로 사용하지 않
고 어둠 속 공기와 빛, 그리고 미세한 색온도의 변화를 만드는 범위 안에서 절제하여 사용합니다.
흑백에 가까운 색조는 색의 한계가 아니라, 존재감과 침묵, 공기감을 더욱 깊이 드러내기 위한 의도된 선택
입니다.
